After using it for a few months, my daughter loved the swing, and the playpen didn't smell at all when I first collected it. Great product! I have already lost products purchased on Amazon, because the products purchased on Amazon have a very strong irritating smell.
After looking through numerous websites for a playpen, I found this Pure-Era one and decided to take a chance and order it. The main reason why I did is because practically all of the other similar kind of plastic playpens (from your usual retailers like Amazon and Walmart, etc.) have designs that make no sense to me. Those other playpens tend to have a small circle or cut out about 2/3rd of the way up, which is just the perfect height for a baby to stick their arms or legs through and climb over the wall. This design not only doesnât have that cutout, itâs also got a great color scheme that doesnât make my house look like itâs turned into the playground at the back of a McDonaldâs.
However, before you order this you need to be aware that this is getting shipped from China and so the wait times are long! Donât order this if you urgently need a playpen, budget a monthâs time, or youâll be disappointed.

Cons
- The instruction manuals make IKEAâs look easy. The English translation on the manuals is⌠lacking. Youâll have to intuit some of the steps, but it wonât be hard since everything has only a few places where it could fit
- 6 of the 18 panels I received were a bit squished on the top. It was clearly damaged during the long freight. Not structurally important, hardly noticeable in certain light unless I point it out.
- This version is only able to make 90 degree angles! This website does not make it clear that is the case. If you need to make a circular playpen or irregular shape â get the other one on the website (the one thatâs foldable). I only noticed this difference after placing my order. Wasnât a huge issue in the end because I ended up placing it in a spot where itâs square, but would have appreciated the flexibility in shape.
- There were some plastic shavings inside the rocking horse that I couldnât get out. I guess itâs just in there forever now⌠make sure to clean any loose shavings before giving to your baby to play.
